Insurance
It is your responsibility to take out appropriate travel insurance at the time of booking. It is a requirement of our Booking Conditions that every Riviera passenger is in possession of valid Travel Insurance for the full duration of your trip. If you have not organised this yet, please make sure you are covered before you leave home. If you choose to arrange your own travel insurance, then your policy should provide at least the same benefits as Riviera’s scheme.
Having compared our levels of cover and prices with many of our competitors, we know that our policy represents great value for money. More and more of our customers have taken up our policy secure in the knowledge that, from the time of booking to returning home from holiday, they have comprehensive cancellation and insurance cover.

With any insurance policy you should always make sure you have advised your insurer of any pre-existing medical conditions, including any psychiatric illness, and take a written record of these with you. Your cover may be invalidated if you fail to do this.
Please also be aware that most insurance policies will not cover you for any activities which they deem to be dangerous, for example scuba diving, river rafting, horse-riding, ballooning.
You should always carry details of your policy and its 24-hour emergency number with you in case you need to make a claim. The EHIC only provides emergency medical cover and will not cover follow-up medical treatment, repatriation or non-emergency medical treatment for which separate insurance is necessary, either from us or through your own insurance cover. It is important to ensure that you are also adequately covered for eventualities such as cancellation prior to travel, loss of personal possessions during the holiday, and personal accident.
